Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, the President of Assiut University, the university is offering a distinctive and innovative set of academic programs for the academic year 2024/2025 that meet the needs of the evolving job market.
The Faculty of Computers and Information is presenting the "Bio- Medical Informatics" program, which aims to develop students' skills in programming, with a focus on courses that serve work in the fields of science, human medicine, nursing, veterinary medicine, agriculture, and pharmacy. The program combines the study of computer science and biology under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Taysir Hassan Abdel-Hameed, Dean of the Faculty, and program coordinator, and Prof. Khaled Fathi, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs.
The program accepts students enrolled by the faculty through the General Secondary Education Coordination Office, with a minimum qualification to join the faculty from the science branch, or math.
The program's duration is (144) accredited hours, over (4) academic years.
The program includes teaching students how to use computers and modern techniques in analyzing biomedical information, and equips students with unique cognitive, analytical, and applied skills in designing medical systems, analyzing biomedical data, and enhancing new technologies to improve healthcare.
The program qualifies graduates to work in several fields, including hospitals, healthcare centers, scientific institutions, research centers, pharmaceutical companies, medical technology companies, health insurance companies, and others.
