Dr. Tarek El-Gamal, President of Assiut University, and his deputy for education and student affairs, Dr. Shehata Gharib, received a souvenir gift for each of their honors in a gesture of thanks and appreciation from Mohamed Essam El-Din Ragab, former head of the University Students’ Union, and Haitham Kamal Abdel Hamid, former Secretary-General of the Scientific Committee of the University Students’ Union. These gifts are for their care and support for student volunteer activities during the last period.

Dr. Shehata Gharib indicated that a memorial shield was also presented in honor of Muhammad Essam and Haitham Kamal, as positive models for the members of the union since they did not stop their work and effort to serve the university and their colleagues even after leaving their positions in the union. Dr. Shehata also praised their voluntary and fruitful work during this period to enhance the university's efforts to confront the novel Coronavirus.
