"Institutional Development in the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector" in the Fourth Training Program for Rehabilitation for the position of Dean of Assiut University

The Center for the Development of the Capabilities of Faculty Members and Leaders at Assiut University organizes, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of the University; the fourth training program to qualify professors applying for the position of (Dean of the Faculty), from 22 to 25 September 2024, under the supervision of: Prof. Jaber Megahed, Director of the Center.

The training program witnessed a scientific session on institutional development; in the sector of community service and environmental development, by Prof. Mahmoud Abdul Aleem, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, with the participation of faculty members in various faculties; applicants for the position of Dean.

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy explained that the university is keen to develop the efficiency of its faculty members, prepare the necessary training and professional programs; provide them with professional capabilities and skills; perform administrative responsibilities and functions at the best and highest level; serve its students and achieve the desired progress at the level of Arab and foreign universities, pointing out that the training and qualification of candidates are carried out through a group of professors specialized in various fields, and for 4 consecutive days, by the university's strategy to apply quality standards in all sectors, and university faculties.

During the scientific session, Prof. Mahmoud Abdul Aleem referred to the role of the university in the field of community service and environmental development, through the provision of comprehensive services to the community; from health and educational care, seminars, and awareness activities for the community, the development of centers, special units, and the formation of specialized committees in the fields of community and environmental work, as well as spreading culture, and raising awareness among members of society through the organization of workshops, training programs, and community activities, and the launch of many of: medical, veterinary, agricultural and development convoys; for the most needy centers and villages, reviewing: how to link scientific research to the needs of the production and service sectors, as well as activating regional and international cooperation between centers and organizations with a common interest in environmental issues, noting that The university's sectors work working hands to achieve the benefits of sustainable development, and achieve Egypt's Vision 2030
