Prof. El-Minshawy; congratulates the medical team and enabled it to intervene quickly and immediately to save the life of the young man and his success in performing the surgery efficiently
A medical team in the Department of ENT at the University Hospital of Assiut University succeeded in saving the life of a young man (16) years old; suffering an accident that resulted in a injury of an iron skewer in the neck area; by performing a precise surgery for the patient, and extracting the sker from his neck, while preserving blood vessels, and the main nerves of the neck, which is a new success for the distinguished medical teams of Assiut University hospitals in various specialties, and their success in performing rare surgeries; with efficiency and high accuracy.
The President of the University thanked and congratulated the medical team for his keenness to intervene quickly and immediately to save the life of the young man, and his success in performing surgery efficiently, praising the excellence of the medical staff in Assiut University hospitals, and their vital role in providing a medical service at a high level of professionalism, skill, and using the latest methods, diagnostic and therapeutic techniques; in order to provide the best possible health care.
Prof. El-Minshawy stressed: The conduct of such thorough surgeries reflects the great trust and good reputation enjoyed by university hospitals; among citizens who are reluctant to it; from inside and outside Egypt, due to the quality and efficient health services it provides, stressing the full support of the university administration, and its keenness to follow up the services provided in university hospitals, and raise its efficiency to achieve the state's strategy in the health field.
For his part, Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, explained: The surgical operation performed was of a high degree of seriousness and accuracy, pointing out that the surgery was carried out with great skill; to preserve the patient, which contributed to the safety of the patient, and to be in good health, thanking all the members of the medical team in charge of the surgery.
This came under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Abdul Aziz, Director of the Head University Hospital, and Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Rushdi, Head of the Nose and Ear Department. The medical team was formed of a group of professors of the ENT Department; headed by Dr. Alaa Abdul Halim, Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Rushdi, and with the help of Dr. Ahmed Jamal, Dr. Ahmed Ayman, Dr. Hossam Al-Din Samir, and from the Vascular Surgery Department; Dr. Ahmed Mohammed, and Dr. Jozif Sami, along with anesthesiologists, namely: Dr. Momen Mustafa, Dr. Hossam Jamal, Dr. Michael Bashab, Dr. Alaa Salah, and the Nursing Staff.
