Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, President of Assiut University, announced that he had signed a memorandum of understanding with Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Hamid El-Kandy, President of the University of the Islamic Tactical Culture Center in India. This memorandum was signed during the visit of President El-Kandy to Assiut University as the head of an official delegation that included Dr. Jalal El-Din Mohamed, Director of Student Affairs and International Cooperation and Professor Hisham Khalafallah, Director of IGAT Distance Learning Company. Such memorandum occurred in the presence of the university administration, Dr. Shehata Gharib, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; and Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine And Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assiut University Hospitals; Dr. Amani Omar, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Hamdy Ahmed Zeidan, Director of the Integrated Technology Transfer Unit; and Dr. Ali Hussein Ahmed, Director of the Distance Education Sector in the unit.
During the meeting, the president of Assiut University stressed the university's distinguished position and its long history spanning nearly 65 years, which made it classified among the top five Egyptian universities. Moreover, Assiut university occupies an advanced position among the best universities in the world.
