Dr. Tariq Al-Jamal, President of Assiut University, received a report from Dr. Ahmed Al-Manshawi, Vice-Chancellor of the University for Postgraduate Dr. Hamdallah Hafez Zidan, Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Cairo University, received the Science, Technology and Innovation Finance Authority Committee and Dr. Fareed Fouad Zaki, Director of the Central Veterinary Biologics Control Laboratory, Dr. Walid Hamdi Kilani, Director of Mivak Serum & Vaccine, and Engineer Ayman Zahran Engineering Consultant. In the presence of Dr. Asmaa Abdel Nasser, Dean of the Institute for Research and Studies of Molecular Biology and Dr. Amr Abdel Fattah, Undersecretary of the Institute for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Mohamed El Hafnawi, Chancellor of the university.

Dr. Al-Manshawi confirmed during the meeting that the University provides full support to the postgraduate and research sector based on its belief in the role of scientific research in leading the locomotive of development in any society seeking to renaissance and development, adding that the visit of the Committee comes with the aim of reviewing the site of the establishment of the Biosafety Laboratory "3" This type of laboratory will contribute to finding solutions to detect epidemiological diseases and ways to combat them in all of Egypt's southern governorates.

Dr. Asma Abdel Nasser stated that the Committee was impressed by Assiut University and commended the University's great potential for scientific research during the Committee's visit to the University Research Centre. She added that the Committee had visited the Institute for Research and Studies of Molecular Biology and its Laboratories to learn about its possibilities and achievements.
