The Invention of Sensor Wireless System to Reduce the Phenomenon of Power Outage at Assiut University

A group of students of the Faculty of Engineering at Assiut University has invented a system that aims to reduce the phenomenon of power outage using remote wireless networks used in the transmission of data or observation of specific physical or chemical phenomena to a central unit for processing and analysis. Dr. Mohammed Abu-Zahad, Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, added that the wireless sensor home automation network (WSHAN) joins the common hardware available in homes to follow up, and thus control, the energy consumption. It also collects the data and send it to the central unit in order to monitor and analyze the electrical power consumption. Besides, it warns the consumer to reduce the energy load during a short period of time. This system is applied to the building of the department of electrical engineering at Assiut University.
