Prof. Mohammed Abdel Samiea, President of Assiut University, inaugurated an art
exhibition as one of the activities of the First International Porcelain
Workshop porcelain. The occasion was also celebrated by Prof. Adel Rayan, Vice
President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Mansour Mansi, Dean of the
Faculty of Specific Education, and the Danish artist Anna Christian.
This exhibition comes as a closing activity of the workshop by the Faculty of
Specific Education from Feb. 26 to March 2, 2014. In her participation and
training of participants and graduate students, Danish Artist, Anna Christian
adopted new applications in sculpture in addition to other techniques in mixing
clay substances in various ways to obtain new color effects.
The University President praised the distinguished artistic standard of about
150 artistic pieces being the product introduced. The president reassured the
importance of cooperation with artists and specialists all over the world in
research and academia so as to communicate with different art schools and
introduce the Egyptian civilization throughout the past eras and this will
definitely enrich the contemporary artistic movements.
