The President of Assiut University praises the outstanding research production of the Faculty of Science during 2021, which represented 47.5% of the international publication of the faculties of the university, in a manner befitting the status of the Faculty of Science and its practical leadership

Tarek El-Gamal, President of Assiut University, congratulated the Faculty of Science for its distinguished scientific production during 2021, which reached 47.5% of the international publication of the university’s faculties. This means that the Faculty of Science occupied the first place in international publication at the level of the university’s scientific faculties, which befits the history of the Faculty of Science and its advanced position throughout its long history and confirms its scientific leadership, which is a reflection of the university administration's keenness to support and sponsor the scientific and research movement of its faculty members and young researchers.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawi, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, stated that in 2021 the Faculty of Science published 972 research papers in international journals out of the total international publication of the university, which reached 2046 research. This means that the faculty published 47.5% of the international publication to occupy the first place at the level of scientific colleges at the university, followed by the Faculty of Medicine in the second place at the level of the scientific faculties and the first at the level of the faculties at the medical sector, which produced 713 research that represents 32% of the total of what the university has published internationally. This means that the total contribution of the faculties of science and medicine together is about 80% of the total international publication of the university, followed in order by the Faculty of Engineering, then Pharmacy, then Agriculture, then Veterinary Medicine, then Computers and Information Sciences, and then the South Egypt Cancer Institution.
