President of Assiut University on a visit to Assiut University Hospitals on the first day of Eid al-Fitr to congratulate medical staff on Eid, assure the regular medical service and participate in the medical examination of accident sufferers

Dr. Tariq Al-Jamal, President of Assiut University, visited Assiut University Hospitals on Monday simultaneously with the first days of Eid Al-Fitr, during which he was received by Dr. Alaa Attiyah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and and Dr. Alaa Abdel-Moneim, Director of the Main University Hospital, Dr. Saeed Mutalli, Managing Member of the Team Supervising the Injury Unit, and Dr. Marwa Kamal, Supervisor of Public Reception.

The President of Assiut University stated that his visit to some hospital departments came in order to congratulate the medical staff on duty during the first day of Eid as well as ensuring the regularity of the medical service provided to patients, revealing that his visit included issuing strict directives to prevent adult patient escorts and limiting them to children only and prohibit visits to intensive care, reception, injury and emergency departments in order to prevent overcrowding of individuals within these departments and to facilitate work on medical staff.

During the visit, Dr. Tariq Al-Jamal praised the regular work and the presence of medical staff in their shifts, commending the effort made to serve that large number of university hospital departments and from various governorates.

Dr. Alaa Attiyah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assiut University Hospitals, explained that the President's tour included his visit to the Department of Injuries, Intensive and Medium Care, The departments of Injuries and Emergency, Neuro Hospital Reception and The general reception, indicating that the rector himself participated in the medical examination of a number of accident patients and instructed the young doctors with the necessary procedures for the treatment of patients.

Dr. Alaa Abd al-Monim added that the Department of Injuries has more than 200 patients, including 75 emergency cases of accident sufferers transferred from the governorates of Naja Hamadi, Sohag, Beni Suef and Minya, as well as more than 45 patients from the General Reception Department.
