Prof. Ahmed El -Minshawi, Vice President of Assiut University for Graduate Studies and Research and the supervisor of the Faculty of Fine Arts, witnessed the opening of an art exhibition held in the college under the title "Abstract & Reality" by Dr. Walaa Ahmed Abdel -Latif, lecturer of photography in the college, in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Helmy, Vice -Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Mohamed Abdel Hakim, Vice -Dean for Education and Students' Affairs; Prof. Mohamed Thabet Badari, former Dean of the College; Prof. Mansour Al -Mansi, former dean of the college; and a group of faculty members and assistants.
For his part, Prof. El -Minshawi expressed his admiration for the offered paintings that indicate excellence, real creativity and knowledge of the developments of art and culture, stressing that the full support from the University Administration of the Faculty of Fine Arts, whether for students and researchers in the journey of learning and creativity, or for faculty members in their endeavor to progress at the academic professional level, as well as in playing their enlightening role in society and their contribution to upgrading its artistic level by supporting artistic talents and distinguished ones, believing in the importance of art as a cultural value that contributes to the process of reviving and renaissance of society.
About her exhibition, Dr. Walaa Abdel -Latif stated that it is held as one of the requirements for promotion in the college, noting that it deals with the imaginary perception between abstraction and reality, as the works combine reality and imagination and includes 14 paintings, including a photography from memory for the statue of Ramses II in Italy and another for the statue of Isis in Sharm El -Sheikh. The exhibition also includes a painting about meditation entitled Women and the Mountain, and the ballet dancer painting that expresses freedom, and paintings that express emotions, ideas and nature
