Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, the Faculty of Fine Arts, at the university, organized on Wednesday, October 16, in cooperation with the Directorate of Education in Assiut; the first training workshop to develop the abilities and skills of preparatory and secondary students, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Aleem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Desouki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Assiut.
The event witnessed the presence of Dr. Khaled Salah, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Hakim, Vice Dean of the faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Khaled Eid Mahmoud, Director at the Directorate of Education in Assiut, and Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Mahmoud, General Director General of Social Education, in the Directorate of Education, Assiut, and with the participation of several faculty members, and students of the faculty, as well as supervisors of the educational departments in Assiut, from the departments of (Al-Fath, Abnoub, and Manflout), and several (37) students.
Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed the importance of the training workshops offered by the faculty of Fine Arts to develop the abilities and skills of middle and secondary students, with the participation of a group of professors, and faculty students; to discover talented schoolchildren, and work to refine their talents; within the framework of the implementation of the presidential initiative "New Beginning, Human Development", which is based on self-educational, cultural, and behavioral development; to provide a true, educated, empowered and educated citizen to society.
For his part, Prof. Mahmoud Abdel Aleem praised the distinguished level of the participants in the workshop, and the works produced by the students of the preparatory stage, in three educational departments in Assiut, directing to organization of an exhibition that includes the best works of art, after the end of the series of workshops; in appreciation of their participation and their distinguished efforts.
Dr. Khaled Salah explained that the activities presented in the workshop included introducing the plastic arts, and the impact of the environment on the artist, in addition to reviewing educational models, explaining how to start the artistic work, and the most important foundations;
In a related context, Dr. Mohammed Abdulhakim pointed out that this training workshop is the first among (6) training workshops, held by the Faculty of Fine Arts, during the month of (October, November, and December); for students of preparatory stages, and the secondary stages in three educational directorates in Assiut, from (Al-Fath, Abnoub, and Manflout).
Mr. Khaled Eid thanked the university administration, headed by Prof. El-Minshawy, for its fruitful cooperation with the educational departments; in the implementation of the presidential initiative "A New Beginning, Human Building", through organizing technical workshops to develop the capabilities of talented students from the preparatory and secondary stages, to prepare new generations that participate effectively in the comprehensive development process.
It is worth mentioning that he participated in the organizational work of the training workshop: Mr. Mukhlis Farouk, Secretary of the faculty, Mr. Ahmed Atifi, Director of Student Welfare, Ms. Islam Saad Mohammed, and Ms. Siham Abdul Muttalib Mohammed, a specialist of the Student Welfare Department at the faculty.
