"The Acting President of Assiut University, Prof. Maha Ghanem, extends her sincere congratulations, on behalf of the university community of faculty members, students, and employees, to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Minister of Interior, Major General Mohamed Tawfiq, the security forces, and the Egyptian people on the occasion of the 71st Police Day. She emphasized the appreciation and pride of the Egyptian people in the role of the Egyptian police in maintaining the security and safety of Egyptian streets, their national role in combating crime, and cooperating with the armed forces in eradicating terrorism and confronting the destructive plans of extremists and those who promote their ideologies. She also acknowledged the great Egyptian people on the occasion of the 25th January Revolution, which will remain a landmark in modern Egyptian history, indicating the love of Egyptians for their homeland, their loyalty to it, and their keenness to protect its future, and this spirit should be continued to achieve progress and desired development of the country. Prof. Maha Ghanem also paid tribute to the souls of the martyrs of the police, the armed forces, and civilians who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the nation, its leading position, its rich history, and the preservation of its national fabric unity. She asked Allah Almighty to have mercy on all of them, to grant them the highest paradise, and to bless our beloved Egypt with security, progress, and prosperity."
