prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, witnessed the closing events of the first edition of the "empowering university students with determination" initiative, which is being held under the supervision of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, president of the Republic, yesterday evening, December 9, at the maritime monastery "Hatshepsut temple" in Luxor, in the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, a number of Ministers, Dr. Mustafa Refaat, secretary general of the Supreme Council of universities, a number of university presidents, and senior public figures, and in the presence of 562 students.

Prof. El-Minshawy praised the participation of the Assiut University delegation at the end of the activities of the first edition of the initiative, and the honorable presentation made by the student: Heidi Mahmoud Abdel Sabour (choir), and witnessed wide praise and great admiration, pointing to the comprehensive support received by students of determination at Assiut University and the choir team, and the provision of the best specialized trainers; to provide the best always.

The president of Assiut University also praised the Tamkeen initiative implemented by the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, in cooperation with the global "donors of Hope" campaign, which aims to: provide a number of services to students with disabilities, within the framework of their integration into society, increase the base of student participation in various activities, and cooperate in preparing and qualifying cadres of them; to become qualified, trained She is able to participate in the community building process, implement competitions, meetings, and joint events for these students; jointly with the rest of their colleagues, establish projects, awareness, educational, and training programs, organize seminars, and workshops to introduce the rights and duties of people with disabilities, and participate in conducting research, studies, and conferences related to issues of youth with disabilities.

It is worth mentioning that Assiut University organized a number of activities, trainings and workshops to develop the skills of people of determination, within the framework of the Tamkeen initiative, which was implemented by the Center for students with disabilities at the university; under the supervision of: Dr. Ahmed abdulmoula vice president for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Omnia Abdulkader, director of the center, and Dr. Jamal Al-Sawy, managing director of the center.

 The Center for the care of students with disabilities at the University aims to promote an educational, social, cultural and economic environment for students with disabilities at the University, and provide integrated services to them, which helps them adapt to their university environment, integrate them with normal students, as well as provide programs and activities that help them develop their skills, through organizing training courses, awareness seminars, workshops, and seminars; to qualify employees in the fields of the center's work, which makes them able to communicate with Target groups, as well as conducting studies and research related to people with disabilities; in order to identify to qualify them to participate positively in society, follow up on their academic achievement, and provide a helping hand to them by providing educational means that motivate them to excel.
