In attempt to follow up the progress
of the projects sponsored by the Union, Prof. Tarek Al-Gammal held a meeting
with Dr. Kareem Hamdy, the National Coordinator of the of the Erasmus project.
Prof. Al-Gammal acknowledged the effective and distinguished role played by the
Union in sponsoring and supporting scientific projects granted to various
faculties; a matter that assisted in the accreditation of a number of degrees.
In addition to this, the Union helped with its projects in the establishment of
a number of educational and research labs, and providing possibilities for
dozens of faculty members to travel and attend intensive training programs in
developed countries.
Besides, one of these sponsored
projects granted to the Faculty of Science has been nominated for the best
second project offered by Germany. On his part, the National Coordinator of the
European Union Program encourages all faculty members to apply for projects in
the coming months.
