The origin of the Unit

The electron microscope unit in Assiut University was established in 1964 under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Solimon Huzaen, President of Assiut university at that time. It is one of the oldest units in the Middle East and Africa and has established a special unit to provide centralized services to the university researchers and other universities and research centers and factories have been updated with modern equipment in recent years, with the latest scanning electron microscope devices And devices to assist in the preparations and the unit is equipped with all the possibilities that allow faculty members and their assistants within and outside the university and those interested in researching which require the use of scanning electron microscope in addition to conducting training sessions for various uses electron microscope.

The unit was inaugurated in the academic year 1964-1965 by President Gamal Abdel Nasser, President of Egypt.
