Objectives of the Institute:

To transfer and assimilate modern technologies in the field of molecular biology and biotechnology .
To conduct advanced education , training and applied research by using the remarkable institute capabilities of featured research staff from various scientific and technical specializations.
To prepare proficient scientific cadres capable of implementing ambitious research plan of the Institute and the University .
To develop and link applied scientific research to medical, agricultural, industrial and environmental fields to solve societal problems .
To provide technical consultations, feasibility studies and field participation to solve problems .
To exchange experiences with international institutes , centers and scientific bodies that carry out similar activities .
To organize conferences , seminars and scientific training courses.

History (Institute Story)

Molecular Biology Researches & Studies Institute is affiliated to Assiut University. It was established by the Ministerial Resolution No. (1643) issued on 7/11/2019, to be the first institute at the level of the Republic specialized in molecular biology researches and applications.

The institute's internal regulations were issued by the Ministerial Resolution No. (3083) on 7/31/2019 after the approval of the Basic Sciences Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities.

The institute accepts graduates from faculties of the "Medical Sector - Science - Engineering - Agriculture - Veterinary medicine – Computer Science and Information".
