“DNA Analysis Techniques” workshop held
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and Prof. Amr Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Dean of the Institute of Molecular Biology Research and Studies, Assiut University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Hamed Sayed, Vice Dean of the Institute for Graduate Studies and Research and Director of the Molecular Biology Unit, specialized workshop activities were held entitled: “DNA Analysis Techniques.”

This will be on Monday, 9/25/2023, which will last for three days, as Prof. Dr. Amr Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Dean of the Institute, stressed the importance of holding this type of workshop, which includes specialized scientific lectures and practical training with the aim of qualifying study students. Graduate students and researchers on modern technologies in the field of molecular biology that qualify them for the labor market. In a related context, Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Hamed Sayed, the Institute’s Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs at the Institute, explained the importance of providing an integrated research environment to benefit from the capabilities available within the Institute for all members of Assiut University and Egyptian universities. .
The first day of the workshop included the delivery of a lecture by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Kharshi, Professor in the Department of Genetics at the Faculty of Agriculture, Assiut University, entitled:

The second day of the workshop also included two lectures given by Prof. Dr. Amir Effat Al-Farash, Head of the Applied Biotechnology Department at the Institute.

At the conclusion of the workshop on the third day, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Kharshi gave a lecture entitled:

Practical training for the workshop participants took place within the laboratories of the Molecular Biology Research Unit at the Institute. The workshop activities ended with the distribution of the questionnaire to the participants, as well as certificates of attendance.
