The Faculty of Pharmacy announces the start of applications for research project funding for faculty members for the academic year 2024/2025.

Applications will be accepted from October 7, 2024, to November 7, 2024.

 

**Application Conditions:

  • Applications should be submitted using a form that can be obtained from the office of the Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, with one of the research team members (Applicant) responsible for completing the required forms and reports.
  • Master's and PhD theses are excluded.
  • The submitted project must align with the faculty’s research plan.
  • Preference will be given to projects involving multiple disciplines, collaboration between more than two departments, and those with an applied aspect that align with Egypt’s Vision for Sustainable Development 2030.
  • The Applicant must be a faculty member of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Assiut University, with the possibility of including researchers from other departments within the university.
  • The project must be submitted on a CD in both PDF and Word formats, without the names or titles of the researchers, along with a printed copy signed by all participating researchers.
  • The project will be evaluated by a committee selected by the faculty administration in advance, based on a prepared model.
  • Researchers commit to publishing a paper from the project results in a scientific journal with an impact factor greater than 1.
  • The funding amount is one hundred thousand Egyptian pounds.
  • The research project must not have received prior funding from any source.
  • Funding is allocated for project-related expenses, including the purchase of chemicals, tools, kits, analysis and measurements, and publication costs—no rewards are included.
  • Funding will be disbursed over two years, with researchers required to submit a technical and financial report at the end of the first year and a final report at the end of the second year, along with published research. Funding will be distributed in installments based on need through temporary advances during the two years.
  • In the case of purchasing equipment, ownership will be transferred to the Faculty of Pharmacy at Assiut University.
  • If the project conditions are not met, any funds disbursed must be refunded to the faculty.
