Welcome to Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Assiut University was established by Presidential Decree No. 828 for the year 1961 and started studying in the academic year 1962/1962. It is working hard to keep abreast of the development of veterinary medical sciences and techniques and raising the efficiency of the veterinary medical services provided by the educational veterinary hospital and diagnostic and treatment convoys. Upper Egypt The College is always developing .its educational systems in line with international standards

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at AUN aims to

1. .Graduation of a veterinarian scientifically and clinically qualified to protect and treat the animal from diseases and is able to compete.

2. .Upgrading the level of graduates according to the needs of the labor market in all areas of veterinary medicine by granting scientific degrees, holding training courses and continuous veterinary education programs.

3. .Conduct scientific and applied studies and research and provide means of publication in the field of veterinary medical sciences. -2-

4. .Education and dissemination of veterinary health culture to prevent common diseases transmitted from animal to human and how to deal with foods of animal origin to protect the human and protect him from diseases and contaminants.

5. .Providing scientific and technical consultations and assistance to owners of animal, poultry and fish farms and in the field of food hygiene control.

6. .Organizing seminars and holding scientific conferences and activating the role of the college in the field of community service and environmental development.

7. .Holding scientific agreements with local and international bodies and institutions to share experiences and conduct applied researches.

History (Faculty Story)

College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Assiut established by Ministerial Decree No. 828 for the year 1961 to begin the study in the academic year 1961/1962 hard and firmly and techniques service distinct, and that led the college to adopt an academic from the National Authority to ensure the quality of education and accreditation as the first College of Veterinary Medicine at the level of Egypt undermine this stature, the college has emerged since its inception in 2014 until 7470 the number of graduates (4866 -2604 freshman student), have been awarded college diploma number 531 . 568 master's degrees, 338 doctoral degrees in all disciplines to contribute to the outstanding performance of the veterinary community services
