Nation's importance is measured in the age of information and communication technology by their scientifically progress and its technical applications. It is expected that, the internet will be the principal base of every services based on information technology. The Arab nation integration in the informatics' society is important in this informatics' age. From this point of view, the importance- of adopting a long continuous plan for the spread of this technology in the Arab area and bury the digital gab between us and the developed countries- is obvious, and to think how the Arabic world could be an essential participant in future.
This research discuses the kind of coming future from the present features, the properties of information and communication technology age. It discuses also, how the Arab deal with this technology. At the end the research put important steps towards a strategy for the Arab to be involved in this age.

نحن نعيش عصرا تتحدد فيه أهمية الأمم بقدر ما تنجزه في مجال العلوم وتطبيقاتها التقنية. ومن المتوقع أن تتحول شبكة الإنترنت إلى قاعدة أساسية لجميع الخدمات المرتبطة بتكنولوجيا المعلومات. وقد أصبح انخراط الأمة العربية في مجتمع المعلومات أمرا ضروريا في ظل التطورات المتلاحقة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات. من هنا تتضح اهمية تبني الدول العربية خطة بعيدة المدى لانتشار تقنية المعلومات في المنطقة والسعي إلى ردم الفجوة الرقمية مع الدول المتقدمة، والتفكير في كيف يمكن لهذه المنطقة ان تكون جزءا من مستقبل الكرة الأرضية. ويعتبر التعليم لبنة أساسية في هذا المضمار.
يناقش هذا البحث نوعية المستقبل المتوقع في ضوء الحاضر وأهم سمات عصر تكنولوجيا وتقنية المعلومات والاتصالات وكنه هذه التقنية ومميزاتها وعيوب أو معوقات استخدامها. كما يتناول مدى انتشار استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في العالم المتقدم وموقع العالم الثالث منها وموقع الدول العربية علي وجه الخصوص منها بعد أن أصبحت واقعا زمانيا لامناص منه. والبحث عن منهجية للعرب للدخول بقوة إلي عصر تقنية المعلومات والاتصالات وتعظيم الاستفادة منه
