A researcher at Assiut University wins the state issues Commission's encouragement award to stop the consultant Dr. Mohammed Shawqi Al-fangri for serving DA'wah and Islamic jurisprudence
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, announced that Dr. Mohammed Sami Adly Al-Qadi, a teacher of Islamic architecture at the Department of antiquities at the Faculty of Arts, won the award of the state issues authority for the suspension of Advisor Dr. Mohammed Shawqi Al-fangri in favor of the service of Dawah and Islamic jurisprudence for the year 2024/2025, for his research entitled: "The role of businessmen in the advancement of societies through investment in human construction".
Dr. El-Minshawy stressed that this scientific achievement reflects the University's excellence and leadership in various fields of research and knowledge, pointing out that the university is keen to support outstanding researchers and enhance their scientific capabilities to serve community issues and contribute to achieving sustainable development.
The president of the University congratulated the researcher, Dr. Mohammed Sami Al-Qadi, praising his research efforts and his choice of a very important topic that reflects awareness of the value of the human being as a key axis for the renaissance of societies. He also praised the efforts of businessmen in actively contributing to development through investing in human development, stressing that this trend is in line with the priorities of the Egyptian state in enhancing human capital.
Dr. El-Minshawy pointed out that Assiut University places among its priorities the support of various disciplines and knowledge based on serious scientific research, and providing a stimulating environment for researchers to produce solid studies with a real societal impact, in a way that enhances the University's position locally and internationally, and links academic leadership with the requirements of national development.
The Supreme Committee of the endowment announced the victory of Dr. Al-Qadi during a ceremony organized by the state issues authority to honor the winners. The committee was chaired by Chancellor Abdel Razzaq Shoaib, chairman of the state issues Commission and the head of the endowment, and included in its membership an elite of religious and academic figures, including: Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayad, the mufti of the Republic, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hudhud, former president of Al-Azhar University, Dr. Ahmed Fouad Pasha, former vice-president of Cairo University, Dr. Abdullah Abdel Fattah el-tatawy, former vice-president of Cairo University, Dr. Mohammed Mahmoud Abu Hashem, vice-president of Al-Azhar University, advisor Ahmed Thabet, vice-president of the commission and Secretary General, advisor Sameh Sayed chairman of the commission and rapporteur of the Supreme Committee of the endowment.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Sami Al-Kadi explained that his research dealt with several axes, the most prominent of which are: the concept of investing in human development and its various dimensions, and the social responsibility of businessmen, in addition to presenting successful models of investment initiatives in this field. He also made a number of important recommendations, the most prominent of which is the state's encouragement to businessmen to establish charitable and service institutions aimed at serving the community by investing in human development, and encouraging them to contribute to the development of human resources by providing appropriate training, rehabilitation and development programs.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Mohamed Sami El – Kady received a doctorate degree in Islamic architecture from the Faculty of Arts at Assiut University in 2020, and has also received a number of scientific and literary awards, most notably: the Sharjah International Award for library literature from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Al-Qasimi in the United Arab Emirates in 2015, the Merit Award from the Nagy Naaman International Literary Foundation for culture in Lebanon in the same year, and the Cairo University-Chancellor Dr. Mohamed Shawky Al-fangri Encouragement Award for the best theoretical and Applied Studies and research to serve Egypt in 2017, along with being chosen as Castle magazine's civilization and heritage personality in November 2020.
