Department Vision:

  • Reaching the highest level in teaching veterinary anatomy, embryology, applied anatomy and genetics for students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and other faculties and various institutes at Assiut University and other universities.
  • Developing educational programs for graduate students that are supported by appropriate research activities and performed by faculty members and the supporting staff in the department.
  • Participation in community service through the scientific research related to the environment.

 

 

Department Message

  • Teaching anatomical sciences in a sophisticated and high-quality manner, using modern teaching and mummification techniques, and defining the goals of the education process through periodic evaluation of students.
  • Providing the veterinary students with knowledge and applied skills for anatomy and embryology. Training them to use these outputs in professional skills and the ability to continuously learn in the field of anatomy necessary to serve other departments as well as scientific research.

Department Aims and Goals

  • Developing educational programs and courses in anatomy and embryology for veterinary students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Providing distinguished study programs for students in light of contemporary global trends and the needs of the labor market.
  • Raising the level of quality of scientific research in the field of anatomy and embryology.
  • Promote the study of anatomical sciences as a preliminary study in order for graduate students to benefit from it by participating in the development of the list of graduate studies in the credit hour system.
  • Contribute and provide support to improve veterinary medical education by conducting experimental and applied anatomical research in partnership with clinical departments with the aim of developing the field of veterinary medicine and community service.
