In preparation of COP 27 that is going to be held in Egypt in November 2022. The Egyptian government direct all academic institutions to reevaluate their policies to adapt and promote sustainable communities. 
In 2021 AU held several meetings to increase awareness of the community to the SDGs. The university administration had held national and international meetings and signed protocols of collaboration with many bodies, organizations as well as policymakers (Arabic and English reports enclosed).
Assiut University established a page in its website specially prepared for increase awareness with SDGs and what the university has done as regards this issue. 
The vice president of AU of community development had collaborations with NGOs a prime priority and organize groups of events to encourage engagement between the university and the community. On the other hand, the university administration initiates the measurement and evaluation unit and encourages the unit to measure the KPI of SDGs. 
Our international ranking office identified 2067 research articles that directly pertain to SDGs and identify points of strength and weakness in our research programs and advise the university administration in its strategic research planning. 
Assiut university had increased its courses pertained to SDGs to 63 courses in different sectors and institutions of the university
We also gathered the keywords of each SDG  and distribute these keywords through its academic community to increase awareness and promote the citation process.
