Research Abstract

This study is a theoretical investigation of radical feminism theory. First, the study aims at presenting feminism as a literary critical approach and elaborates through the works of some feminist writers. The patriarchal society and female reality is examined to explain the difference between the world as men have constructed and the reality that is lived, imagined and expressed by women. This explanation will help to generate a critical background to come up to the fictional world of Alice Walker. The idea of radical feminist theory is defined and developed with reference to patriarchal society. Then, the aspects of radical feminism in Walker’s novels are examined as an example of post-modern literary criticism of the 21st century.
