Within the framework of the policy adopted by the Faculty of Commerce - Assiut University and from the standpoint of preserving the safety and rights of individuals, and with the increasing activity of scientific research, ensuring the ethical aspect of research has become extremely important to protect the rights of research participants and human rights in general, and it has also become a vital requirement for publishing in journals. In order for the College of Commerce to ensure the quality and excellence of scientific research, and to address potential violations of scientific research ethics, the most prominent of which for the College of Commerce are deception, plagiarism, fabrication, hiring writers, and mock participation, the College saw the necessity of controlling the regulatory aspects of scientific research ethics in the college, including: It complies with scientific rules and international academic standards, in the hope of raising awareness regarding these ethical requirements.
In accordance with the above, the college has formed a Scientific Research Ethics Committee, whether for scientific dissertations (for master’s, doctoral, professional applied research, or scientific research submitted to promotion committees) in implementation of the text of Article (20) of the Comprehensive Guide to Research Integrity issued by the Central Committee for Scientific Research Ethics at Assiut University. - 2023.
Tasks and work mechanism of the Scientific Research Ethics Committee
The Scientific Research Ethics Committee was established at the Faculty of Commerce at Assiut University as an independent technical committee in accordance with the provisions of the Universities Organization Law No. 49 of 1972 and its executive regulations and their amendments, and in accordance with Law No. 52 of 2014 amending some provisions of the Universities Organization Law, and in accordance with the decision of the College Council in its session held on 1/22. /2024 by approving the establishment of a committee for scientific research ethics at the college and the basic provisions of the committee’s regulations.
The committee is headquartered at the Faculty of Commerce, Assiut University, and a headquarters has been allocated to the committee, which includes the devices and equipment that ensure the proper conduct of the committee’s work and contains a secured place to store the committee’s documents and files. The committee works to constantly announce the headquarters and the various means of communication with the committee through an email or a page. The Scientific Research Ethics Committee at the Faculty of Commerce - Assiut University aspires to enhance and ensure the integrity and honesty of scientific research at the Faculty and to preserve the research, intellectual and human rights of the parties to the research process, and to provide support to researchers and participants in scientific research in the field of commercial science in its various branches and to make them aware of research ethics and internationally recognized principles of scientific research. And meeting the requirements for local or international publication by verifying that all research protocols adhere to the application of ethical research standards recognized in the field of scientific research.

Implement research activities in a manner that respects the dignity, intellectual property rights, and other rights of all participants in scientific research.
Implementing research activities in a legal manner that reduces risks to participants and researchers.
Establishing a mechanism to evaluate legal procedures regarding intellectual property related to scientific research ethics.
Cooperating with the corresponding committees for scientific research ethics locally, regionally and internationally.
Organizing seminars and courses for faculty members and their assistants regarding the rules of ethics for scientific research.
