Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Adel Rasmi Hammad Al-Najdi Dean of the CollegeOn Monday, the Faculty of Education, Assiut University, held the second introductory seminar for the adult education center in the presence of Mustafa Abdullah Hussein, Director of the National Authority for Adult Education and Literacy, Assiut Branch. The number of illiterates in Assiut exceeds one million illiterates, or about 25% of the total number of the population of Assiut governorate, which number 4 and a half million people, Mustafa Hussein said. He stressed that this percentage will change for the better because of the efforts of the State to eradicate illiteracy and adult education, and this will be evident when the 2016 census was announced between the National Authority for Adult Education and Literacy and the Council after a few days. He added that there is a protocol to universities and all bodies, In the eradication of illiteracy and adult education in order to eliminate illiteracy in Egypt in the shortest possible time. He pointed out that the condition of literacy of eight individuals has been established so that the student obtains his university degree from the college where he is studying at the university.
