Under the patronage of Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, Professor Mohamed Ahmed El-Adawy, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, received a delegation of representatives from information technology and training companies to explore avenues of joint cooperation and open new prospects for partnership in practical training programs. The initiative aims to better prepare University students for the requirements of the labor market.
The delegation included Engineer Ayman Eiad, Director of the Information Technology Institute (ITI) in Assiut; Mr. Ahmed Reyhan, Head of Sutherland Company for Facilities and Government Relations in Egypt and the Middle East; Mr. Omar Maher, Head of Sutherland Company for Human Resources in Egypt and the Middle East; Mr. Mohamed El-Keiky, Head of Sutherland Company for Operations in Egypt and the Middle East; and Ms. Rania Sabry, Chief Executive Officer of Trilogy in Egypt and the Middle East.
The meeting discussed mechanisms for providing specialized training programs for University students, particularly in the fields of information technology, artificial intelligence, and digital services. These programs aim to enhance students’ practical skills and improve their readiness for integration into the labor market at both the local and international levels, within the framework of preliminary proposals for future cooperation.
Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy emphasized the University’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with leading technology institutions to prepare graduates who are qualified and competitive. He highlighted the University’s efforts to provide real training opportunities aligned with the rapid developments in information technology and artificial intelligence.
For his part, Professor Mohamed Ahmed El-Adawy welcomed the delegation, affirming Assiut University’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with leading institutions in a way that serves students’ interests and supports capacity building. He noted that the meeting comes as part of exploratory discussions and exchange of perspectives in line with the University’s vision of quality and sustainability.
The meeting was attended by several academic leaders from Assiut University, including Professor Atef El-Naggar, Director of the Russian Language Center; Professor Noha Abdel Aziz Rizk, Director of the French Language Center; Professor Mona Hassan El-Sawy, Director of the German Language Center; and Mr. Sameh Alphonse, representing the English Language Center.
