Registration Requirements

  • The Faculty of Computers and Information accepts students who have obtained a high school certificate in mathematics division, specializing in "Physics + Mathematics", and students who obtain certificates of Arab and foreign scientific equivalence certificates, providing that they study a maths subject in the SAT 2 exams in the American diploma and a maths subject at the advanced level or the supplementary level applicant in the English high school diploma. The admission must follow the rules regulating admission coordination in Egyptian universities, which are set by the Supreme Council of Universities and applied by the University Admissions Coordination Office, for students who have obtained high school and equivalent Arab and foreign certificates.
  • The Faculty of Computers and Information accepts students transferred to it from the aforementioned certificates, with the approval of the two faculty’s councils from which the student and our faculty are transferred. The transfer is done in the General Administration for Education and Student Affairs for approval by Prof. President of the University (the rules of the Supreme Council of Universities and the rules of the University Council in this regard are observed. ).
  • It’s permitted for the faculty of computer science and information to accept students with a scientific division high-school certificate, if he/she follows a special program (critical information system), providing getting a minimum grade that the faculty accepts through transferring to the faculty.
  • The faculty of computers and information science accepts students with equivalent Arab or foreign certificates through transferring students to special programs (Software Engineering + Bioinformatics Systems) bearing in mind the minimum grade of each certificate.

Admission mechanism for special programs:

The student should have an Egyptian high-school certificate or an equivalent, according to Universities Organization Law for students applying to the undergraduate stage. It’s allowed for student who got a scientific high school certificate to take (math’s 2) courses in the faculty. The students must pass this course, however, it’s not included in the GPA.

  • It’s allowed to transfer to the program after the approval of the faculty council provided a set-off is between the courses that the student has studied and the decisions he/she should study and succeed in. in order to proceed the set-off process, the equivalent grades of the specified grades in the credit hour system should be taken into consideration if necessary.

Bachelor’s Registration Requirements

  1. The student should obtain a high-school certificate, math’s division, or an equivalent. The acceptance should follow the ranking of success grades, taking into consideration the geographical distribution, according to what the higher universities council decides and taking the opinions of the faculty and university council.

  • Student’s transferred to level 1:

Students who have a high school mathematics or Arab or foreign equivalent certificates may be accepted into special programs (Software Engineering Program and Bioinformatics Systems Program) in case they obtain the faculty’s minimum in the year of obtaining it for each certificate separately.

Students who have a high school certificate in the Arab or foreign equivalent certificates may be admitted to the bioinformatics program, provided that they obtain the faculty’s minimum in the year of obtaining it for each certificate separately.

  • Transferred students to level 2/3:

The faculty accepts transferred students from computer information faculties:

  1. The students wishing to transfer to the faculty from the aforementioned are notified that the necessary set-off takes place after the arrival of the transfer papers.
