The College of Law continues the series of awareness seminars that it began with the “For the sake of your country; Be positive and participate in the 2024 presidential elections” symposium at the College of Engineering.
Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Dweib Hussein Saber, Dean of the College, and Dr. Ragab Al-Kahlawy, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, the College of Engineering witnessed, today, November 28, a symposium within a series of symposiums. For the sake of your country, be positive and participate in the 2024 presidential elections organized by the College of Law, and lectures were attended by Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber, Dean of the College of Law, and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, and Dr. Rajab Muhammad Al-Kahlawi, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Law at the College, and Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs. And Dr. Mustafa Hassan Sanusi, teaching assistant in the Public Law Department.
Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber confirmed that the university administration supports holding these purposeful seminars, due to its belief in the necessity of educating young people about the importance of exercising their political rights, as participation in political life in general and the upcoming presidential elections in particular is an urgent necessity during the current period, calling on students to be positive people, and to They contribute to the electoral process by casting their votes, and not paying attention to destructive ideas, pointing out that the high participation rate wastes the opportunity for any lurking in the country who seeks to undermine its stability and freedom of decision-making.
Dr. Rajab Al-Kahlawi also praised the role of the state in supporting youth, and that it opens the way for them to participate in all fields, praising the great support of the university administration in launching this ray of light and for shedding light on this series of seminars, hoping that it will bear fruit in increasing political and national awareness among young people. So that they are not led by destructive ideas that aim to harm the homeland.
The symposium witnessed the participation of Dr. Nobi Muhammad Hassan, Dean of the College of Engineering, and Dr. Ezzat Abdel Moneim Mirghani, Vice Dean of the College for Education and Student Affairs, and the presence of a number of faculty members, college staff and students.
In turn, Dr. Nobi Muhammad Hassan pointed out the importance of awareness of the constitutional and political duties and rights that cannot be neglected, especially the presidential elections that decide who is the President of the Republic, who enjoys a large number of powers and authorities internally and externally, calling on all those present to participate positively, and to educate their families and colleagues about the importance of Share.
Dr. Dwaib Hussein also thanked the university administration for its great support to the Faculty of Law in organizing this series of important awareness seminars, as they come as we are on the verge of a landmark constitutional entitlement that brings in the President of the State, and participation in it reflects the extent of the Egyptian people’s culture and awareness of their rights and duties, praising the youth’s positivity and confidence in their turnout. At the ballot boxes, and with Egyptian women’s political awareness and pride in the constitutional rights they have enjoyed for many years, ahead of many countries in the world, this must be demonstrated to the entire world.
The symposium reviewed the importance of participation, in addition to the procedures for the presidential elections, and their chronological stages, from the opening of candidacy until the announcement of the result, noting that participation in the upcoming electoral elections is a type of return to the homeland that is dominated by freedom, security and safety.
