The Center for Legal Studies at the Faculty of Law holds the first edition 
of the course for preparing a lawyer for companies and banks.
Within the framework of the role of the Center for Legal Studies 
for Community Service at the Faculty of Law, Assiut University in 
developing the capabilities of students, researchers, and those working 
in legal work and equipping them with the most important professional 
and practical experiences, the Center opened a course for preparing 
a lawyer for companies and banks. This is under the patronage of 
Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, 
and Professor Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Aleem, Vice President of the University 
for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.
The ceremony was opened by Professor Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber, Dean of 
the College and Legal Advisor to the President of the University. 
The Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors, Professor Dr. Muammar Ratib, 
Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development 
Affairs, and Professor Dr. Othman Abdel Qader, Director of the Center for 
Legal Studies, attended the session, which was held on the 6th and 7th of this month.
For his part, Dr. Dwaib Hussein Saber confirmed: The course “Preparing a Lawyer for 
Companies and Banks” comes within the framework of the center’s activity and represents 
an important aspect of the college’s activities in the scientific and academic fields. 
The course addresses several topics, including: Procedures for establishing companies, 
the role of lawyers for companies and banks before the Economic Court, the role 
of lawyers within banks and companies, and oversight of companies and banks. The trainee 
obtains a certificate for attending the training course accredited by Assiut 
University and the center, in addition to developing his skills in this context, which 
will reflect positively on his competitive opportunities in the labor market.
Dr. Muammar Rateeb emphasized the college’s continuous efforts by the Environmental 
Development and Community Service Sector to develop the legal awareness of students, 
researchers, and the surrounding community, interact with its problems, and develop 
appropriate and effective legal solutions in light of Egypt’s 2030 vision to achieve 
the goals of the new republic.
Dr. Othman Abdel Qader reviewed the center’s objectives. He stated that the center will 
hold the second edition of the course on November 20 and 21 due to the large demand 
from those wishing to receive training related to this field.
On the first day, Prof. Dr. Kilani Abdel Rady, professor of commercial law at the college, 
and Prof. Dr. Othman Abdel Qader, professor and head of the Civil Procedure Law Department, 
and the cassation lawyer, lectured on the first day.
Presenting on the second day were Prof. Dr. Kilani Abdel Rady and Dr. Mohamed Ali, 
Deputy Legal Affairs Sector at the National Bank of Egypt.
The trainees expressed their happiness at passing this course and that they look forward 
to more of these practical courses.
