Assiut National University launches the program "Software Engineering" for the academic year 2025/2026

As part of its strategy to provide modern academic programs that keep pace with technological development and respond to the needs of the labor market, Assiut National university announced the opening of admission to the "Software Engineering" program at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for the academic year 2025/2026, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and Commissioner for the conduct of the work of the National University.

The program comes under the academic supervision of Dr. Nobi Mohammed Hassan, vice president of Al-Ahlia University for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdul Hamid, dean of the Faculty of computers and information at Assiut University and supervisor of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial intelligence at National University.

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the launch of this program reflects the University's keenness to keep pace with the accelerating changes in the fields of technology, and its keenness to qualify cadres capable of creativity, innovation and applying scientific knowledge in devising practical solutions that serve the community. He added that the program gives students advanced skills in analyzing, designing and developing software systems using the latest tools and technologies, ensuring their ability to compete in the local and international labor market.

Dr. Noobi Mohamed Hassan pointed out that the program aims to prepare professional engineers with an integrated theoretical and practical understanding in the field of Software Engineering, with the ability to develop and maintain high-quality software, face the challenges of the digital age, and work efficiently in professional environments while adhering to professional ethics and continuous learning.

The student receives a bachelor's degree in software engineering after successfully passing 144 credit hours, and opens up wide fields of work for graduates, including: software engineer, software quality engineer, requirements engineer, software test engineer, and software project manager.
