Assiut University Succeeds in Saving the Lives of an Egyptian Youngman and Yemeni Citizen by Performing Two Liver Transplants at AL-Rajhi University Hospital

Dr. Ahmed A.Gaeis, Assiut University President, announced the success of two new liver transplants at Al-Rajhi University Hospital. With these two transplants, the number of has new become 19 liver transplants; a remarkable indication of the distinction and success in the domain. This also refers to the capacity of Al-Rajhi Hospital to pursue its program in Liver Transplants which has been previously done with 100% success. Regarding the details of the latest transplants, Dr. Ihab Fawzy, Hospital Director, said that the first case involved liver transplant for a young man aging 39 and the donor was his 33-year-old wife. The second case; involved a 63-year-old Yemeni patient. Donor for the Yemeni patient was his 22 years old son. Dr Fawzy assured that the hospital provides suitable atmosphere for all patients and that all former patients who had transplants are now fine and healthy and enjoy normal liver functions
