Cooperation between the branch of the Institute of Information Technology at Assiut University and Al-Azhar University to empower young people with digital skills 

Prof. El- Minshawy: Assiut University is keen to prepare a generation of qualified competencies with the latest digital skills and contribute to building a digital future in Egypt

   The branch of the ITI Information Technology Institute, Assiut University, received the first group of Al-Azhar University students to receive training grants at the Institute, in accordance with the existing protocol of cooperation between the University and the institute, to train university students and graduates, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University and chairman of the alliance of Universities of the central upper region, and under the supervision of Dr. Heba Saleh, president of the ITI Information Technology Institute, Ministry of communications, and engineer Ayman Ayad, dean of the Institute in Assiut.

 The institute received (30) students from Al-Azhar University who received training grants at the institute, to be trained in self-employment skills, (Freelancing), in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Alim, vice president of the University for community service and environmental development, and Dr. Mohammed Abdul Malik, Vice President of Al-Azhar University for the tribal face.

Prof. El-Minshawy explained that the training is within the framework of the implementation of the cooperation protocol concluded between the Information Technology Institute and the University of Assiut, pointing out that the Information Technology Institute is one of the training arms of the Ministry of communications and Information Technology, and its mission is to develop the skills of young people and qualify them for the labor market through a matrix of capacity-building programs and professional training activities in the latest IT specialties.

  Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that Assiut University is keen to prepare a generation of qualified competencies with the latest digital skills, enhance the competitiveness of young people and open new horizons for them in the labor market and thus contribute to building a digital future in Egypt.

  Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Alim praised the Institute's many activities as one of the promising institutions in the field of entrepreneurship, youth training, and providing the labor market with skilled human resources in the fields of modern technology, especially by encouraging trainees to freelance to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of the state (Egypt Vision 2030), which encourages linking the scientific research product with industry.

For his side, Dr. Mohammed Abdulmalek praised the warm reception and the great welcome that he received from Assiut University and the Institute's administration, stressing that the training of Al-Azhar students and graduates at the institute comes within the framework of integration between Assiut and Al-Azhar universities, praising the Institute's efforts in training and qualifying its trainees to meet the requirements of the labor market, as the labor market has become unconventional, and completely depends on information technology and digitization in all fields of work. 

Ayad explained that other groups will soon be received for training on the basics of Information Technology, the CS'50 program, and other training grant programs provided by the Institute.

This came in the presence of Dr. Ali Kamal Temple, director of the Center for monitoring and studying societal problems at the University, Professor Hossam Al - Naqib, advisor to the head of the Information Technology Institute for Government Relations, Dr. Ahmed Youssef, director of the Agricultural Research Center-Al-Azhar University, and Dr. Husseini Hammad, faculty member at Al-Azhar University.
