First PhD Dissertation in Upper Egypt by Medical Researcher at Assiut University Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University Recommends the Use of the DaVinci Surgical System in the Eradication of Prostate Cancer

Candidate: Amr Hassan Ibrahim Abu-Feddan, Assistant Lecturer, Urology Department, submitted his Doctoral Dissertation: "A Comparative Study of the Different Types of Surgeries for radical Prostatectomy." Dr. Amr Feddan assured that this is the first Dissertation in Upper Egypt to focus on DaVinci's Surgical System to undertake cancer surgeries, especially prostate cancer. He added that the daVinci system, powered by robotic technology, enables surgeons to perform complicated operations easily including the eradication of tumors, and prostate cancer in particular as it is one of the most common tumors.
