Dr. Tariq Al-Jamal, President of Assiut University, praised the heroics of the armed forces men throughout Egypt's long history and their plaudits in defending the security and stability of homeland, appreciating the national saga and great sacrifices provided by the men of the armed forces in order to blockade the forces of evil, extremism and their sincere work in cleansing Egypt from extremist elements.

His sovereignty commented on the news of the frustration of today's terrorist attack, targeting the point of lifting water at the east of Canal, which resulted in killing of an officer and 10 soldiers, wounding 5 individuals and trapping elements of the attack in one of Sinai's isolated areas.

Dr. Tariq al-Jamal, president of Assiut University, confirmed that this despairing terrorist attack was a desperate attempt by the forces of extremism and subversion to prove their existence after the success of the valiant armed forces and the Egyptian police in trapping them over the past years and refuting their despicable plots in the demolition and destabilization of the Egyptian State's political leadership and their full and sincere support for the efforts of the valiant armed forces.

The president of Assiut University extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs. He asked Allah The Almighty that the martyrs of the homeland should be blessed with his mercy and forgiveness and that they should be inhabited with his grace and raise their grades in the higher paradise with the prophets, friends and martyrs and that the injured should be swiftly recovered.
