Organized by the General Directorate of Talent Management and Development, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University;? The activities of a developmental meeting entitled: "Smart Electronic Archiving, Document Management, and Electronic Records", which extends its activities on September 29 and 30, in the discussion hall of the Conference Center in the University's administrative building.
Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the Egyptian state pays great attention to the axis of digitization, the preparation of the technological infrastructure, and the rehabilitation of its human resources; to provide them with the required skills for digitization, pointing out that the university seeks to hold training courses and workshops aimed at promoting digital culture, modern technology, and spreading the concepts of electronic archiving among those working in various sectors of the university, as well as benefiting from modern technology; to improve the skills and expertise of its human resources, refine their skills, and develop and develop their expertise.
The meeting comes under the supervision of Mr. Shawkat Saber, Secretary General of the University, Mr. Osama Al-Sayed, Assistant Secretary General of the University, Mr. Abdul Qader Mehran, Head of the Central Department of Human Resources, and Mr. Khaled Omran, Director General of the General Directorate of Talent Management and Development, and with the participation of about (60) working gentlemen, in various sectors of the university, within the framework of the university's plan; to spread the culture of digitization and electronic archiving.
Mr. Osama Al-Sayed explained that the meeting aims to develop and develop the skills of workers in the field of digitalization, and modern electronics, and enhance the principle of transparency, honesty, and integrity; to provide high-quality services, in record time, adding that the meeting includes fruitful lectures for a constellation of distinguished scholars to exchange experiences, opinions, and acquire information, wishing all participants; benefiting from the subject of the meeting.
Mr. Abdul Qader Mahran added that the university is keen to hold training courses for various employees in the university's sectors to improve and develop their capabilities and train them on the required digital skills to save time and effort, pointing to the importance of digitization within government institutions to provide services at the highest level.
Mr. Khaled Omran pointed out that the meeting discusses a range of axes, including digitization, electronic archiving, the importance of smart electronic archiving, planning stages, and implementation; for electronic archiving, and the requirements of electronic archiving, by Dr. Abeer Al-Tawil Mohammed, a teacher in the Department of Libraries and Information at the Faculty of Arts, as well as discussing document management systems, electronic records, digital preservation challenges, and appropriate solutions; to face these challenges, and the rules that are taken into account when adopting the electronic archiving project, and a presentation of some Arabic experiences; for digitization projects, and electronic archiving, by Dr. Iman Mustafa Mohammed, teacher in the Department of Libraries and Information at the Faculty of Arts.
