Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, the university continues to offer a distinguished range of academic programs aimed at enhancing the educational system and meet the evolving needs of both local and international labor markets.
In this context, the Faculty of Science announces the launch of the Bachelor’s Program in Plant Biotechnology and Microbiology, a specialized program aimed at providing biotechnological solutions in key development sectors such as lndustry, Agriculture, and the Environment.
The program is carried out under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Hamid Abu Sahli, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Dr. Mohamed Hamida, Professor at the Department of Botany and Microbiology.
Admission Requirements
The program accepts:
▪ Students holding a General Secondary Education Certificate (Science section – Biology track).
▪ Students who have completed the first year of study at any Faculty of Science in Egyptian or foreign universities.

▪ Medical Field:
Graduates can work in pharmaceutical manufacturing, cancer therapeutics, vaccines and hormones production, insulin extraction from plants, hospitals, clinical laboratories, chemical and protein production companies, vitamin manufacturing, and quality control labs.

Opportunities include bio fertilizer production, agricultural waste recycling, biofuel generation, biological pest control, and cultivation of high-yield plant varieties using tissue culture technologies.
