Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, announced the recommendations of the Fourth Scientific Conference for Young Researchers at the Faculty of Nursing, held under the title “International Publishing: Opportunities and Challenges.”
The conference was supervised by Dr. Gamal Badr, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Samah Mohamed Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty and Conference Chair; and Dr. Ikram Ibrahim Mohamed, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research and Conference Supervisor, with the participation of a group of distinguished professors, faculty members, researchers, and experts in international publishing from Assiut University, Badr University, and Sphinx University.
The conference concluded with several key recommendations, including the necessity of following the guidelines for international publication, choosing international journals in the database and Scopus, and writing scientific research in a linguistically sound manner. Additionally, the conference emphasized the importance of choosing research topics that address societal and global issues, selecting research teams with clearly defined roles for each member, and registering on the clinical trials websites to protect intellectual property rights. Furthermore, it highlighted the significant role of international publishing in increasing global knowledge exchange and improving the international ranking of researchers and universities.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stated that the fourth edition of the conference reflects Assiut University’s commitment to enriching scientific research and supporting researchers by providing all available resources. He underscored the university’s efforts to explore the latest trends and challenges in international publishing,which is one of the most important pillars of improving the quality of scientific research, providing researchers with tools, introducing them to strategies that enable them to publish their research work in prestigious scientific journals and conferences, offering them the opportunity to present their scientific research, and gaining presentation and discussion experiences, to develop their research skills.
It is worth mentioning that the conference discussed during its scientific sessions a number of important topics concerned with the development of the research process and international publication to coincide with the current changes, most notably: An overview of the opportunities and challenges of international publishing, the procedures followed in international publishing, climate changes for children undergoing dialysis, the impact of the risk management training program on the safety culture among nurses, as well as the assessment of emotional intelligence: Domains and levels of substance use disorder.
