The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology announced the selection of Dr. Mahmoud Fahmy Al-Sobhy, lecturer of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University for the membership of the Egyptian Youth Academy of Science. Dr. Al-Sobhy is selected among 15 members from the various Egyptian Universities and Research Centers according to international standards of measurement of the abilities of young researchers to form the first Academy of Youth. The membership continues for three years.   Dr. Al-Sobhy expressed his delight and pride being selected and acclaims the attitude of the state to establish this research academy for young researchers. This step reflects the government’s faith in young researchers’ role in the advancement and development of the community. He added that the academy will provide good opportunity for youth to activate their role in elevating scientific research. The event took place at the building of the Academy of Scientific Research. This celebration was held in the presence of HE Dr. Sherif Hammad, Minister of Scientific Research, HE Dr. Al-Sayed Abdel-Khaleq, Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, President of The Academy of Scientific Research, Presidents of the Egyptian Universities, and the presidents of international Youth academies in Germany, Scotland, South Africa, the Sudan, Denmark, and Malaysia
