Dr. Ahmed A. Gaeis, President of Assiut University ensured that the university is so concerned to provide an advanced academic atmosphere and a proper research base for investment in building the mind and intellect of man. The University President has formerly met with the representatives of the Regional Office, Canadian Centre for International Development Research, Middle East and North Africa. The delegation included Bruce Cury-Al-Dorr, Regional Director of the Office, and Dr. Raeid Sherif, Officer in-charge of the Program of Technology and Innovation. The visit aimed at discussing means of cooperation and support for research projects in the field of social and economic development.
