Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, emphasized the University's keenness to expand the horizons of joint cooperation with various local and international institutions and to utilize all its scientific, educational and research tools in various fields of community service and environmental development. This came during a meeting with the committee responsible for the project "STEM" in the presence of a delegation from the participating American universities, which included Professors Frederick Nelson, Nancy Singer, Richard Didio, Joseph Merlino and Dr. Reda Abu-Saree, project manager in charge of STEM schools at the Ministry of Education.
Dr. Reda Abu-Saree pointed out that the project aims to prepare a professional educational teacher qualified for teaching in the outstanding schools of science and technology in the Republic, and able to keep pace of technological development and modern trends in teaching and learning. Dr Abu-Saree pointed out that selecting the Faculty of Education at Assiut University has been due to attaining the faculty for the certificate of accreditation and quality in addition to the availability of a school of science and technology in the province.
