Assiut University Concludes Memorandum of Understanding with Yemen University

Assiut University President, Prof. Dr. Tarek El-Gamal, asserted the keenness of the university administration to expand its scientific and research support with all universities in various Arab countries, pointing out that this comes thanks to the university's specialized scientific and research staff with a high level of efficiency. This coincided with the approval of the University Council on the conclusion of a memorandum of understanding between the universities of Assiut and Sheba (Yemen), which aims to strengthen academic, scientific and research cooperation. In this regard, Dr. Ahmed Minshawi, vice-president for Graduate Studies and Research, hinted that the memorandum included mutual visits for staff members and researchers in various disciplines in addition to joint scientific supervision and discussion committees for theses and dissertations and the exchange of publications from journals, books, theses as well as scientific journals and periodicals issued by both universities. In addition the memorandum consisted of the exchange of student delegations between the two universities for training in various fields and implementing a number of joint activities, taking into consideration that the memorandum is valid for a period of three years, renewable with the consent of both universities.
