Vice President of Assiut University meets with the Student Union of the Faculty of Social Work

Tariq El-Gammal, President of Assiut University, stressed the importance of holding periodic meetings with members of the student union, who represent a link between the university administration and its students, to convey the students’ voice and provide an opportunity to present any complaints or obstacles they face, as well as an opportunity for them to present their suggestions and ideas regarding the educational process and student activities, pointing to the keenness of the university administration to provide all means of scientific, health and social care support which is necessary for the university students in their university life, in addition to the great support for the student activities sector.

Dr. Maha Ghanem added that participating in student unions and engaging in activities in general has a great role in refining the student’s personality and forming good personalities that possess the skills of a leader. Therefore, the college is keen to develop the talents of young people, urging them to participate in student activities and take place in the competitions and events held by the university. Prof. Ghanem praising what the College Students’ Union accomplished during the first semester and the constructive ideas included in their plan for the second semester, calling for more effort to double the size of the achievement.

Dr. Saudi stated that the most important proposals made by the committee secretaries include holding a social forum to support cooperation between student unions in faculties and institutes of social work all over Egypt, a simulation model of the United Nations Conference for the Climate Change, and the Entrepreneurship Club to introduce students to small business incubators in Assiut and its most important works, establishing a music choral team, a competition for university students to design a glider, a symposium entitled “What to do after graduation!”, in addition to preparing to participate in the competition” Creativity 10” with a distinguished theatrical show. The college also will participate in a number of camps and trips, in addition to taking place in a large number of the university’s activities, pointing out to the college’s keenness to organize the times for holding events according to priorities.
