Assiut University raises the slogan "Together against Cancer" during its opening of the proceedings of the thirteenth international conference of the Oncology Department

Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawi, Vice President of Assiut University for Graduate Studies and Research, revealed that the next stage will witness a boom in the level of health services provided to cancer patients in Upper Egypt, in light of the interest and direct presidential support given by the political leadership to the medical care file, which included the national project launched by Dr. Tarek El-Gamal, President of Assiut University, to start the construction of the new 2020 University Hospital for Cancer, with a budget expected to reach one billion and 700 million pounds, which is to be implemented according to the latest medical and engineering international systems.

This came during the opening of the proceedings of the thirteenth international conference of the Department of Oncology, which is organized by the Faculty of Medicine in cooperation with the Faculties of Pharmacy and Nursing, and witnessed the presence of Dr. Maha Ghanem, Vice President for University Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Alaa Attia, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assiut University Hospitals, and Dr. Samir Shehata, Head of Oncology Department and Conference President, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Samah Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Ihab Fawzy, Executive Director of Assiut University Hospitals, Dr. Mohamed Zain, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Assiut, Dr. Ayman Mansour, Director of North and Central Upper Egypt Health Insurance Sector, and Dr. Kawthar Mahmoud, head of the Syndicate of Physicians in Egypt and a member of the Senate, and Dr. Shadia Hassan Abdel Qader, head of the Nursing Faculties Sector Committee at the level of Egyptian universities, with the distinct participation of Dr. Hassan Abdel Latif, Vice President of New Valley University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Mahmoud Shiha, Vice President of Sphinx University and a crowd of the deans of nursing faculties and senior medical professors from various Egyptian, Arab and foreign universities. The conference also is attended by a group of deans of nursing faculties throughout Egypt, professors of pharmacy and the doctors of the Ministry of Health, the armed forces and the police hospitals.
