Assiut University Council, in its last session, held under the chairmanship of Prof. Tarek El-Gammal, President of the University, approved the appointment of 12 professors in the faculties of medicine, agriculture and physical education.

The decisions in the Faculty of Medicine included the appointment of 5 professors; Dr. Muhammad Khalaf Tawfiq Ghanem in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Hanan Ahmed Morsi Abdel-Jalil and Dr. Amira Ali Abdul-Muttalib Hussein in the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, along with Dr. Ayman Khairy Muhammad Hassan in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and Dr. Wael Ahmed Abbas Hassanein and Dr. Ahmed Farouk El-Sayed Hassanein, Department of Tropical Medicine and Gastroenterology, Faculty of Medicine.

The decisions also included the appointment of 7 professors from a number of university faculties. They are at the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Aziz Abdul Halim Sayed, Dr. Muhammad Tharwat Saeed Abdul-Al and Dr. Al-Hussein Hamada Abdul-Azim Hassan, in the Department of Crops.

And at the Faculty of Physical Education, Dr. Shaima Ali Muhammad Loli, Department of Educational and Psychological Sports Sciences, and Dr. Shaima Salah Sayed Hassanein, Department of Sports Administration and Recreation, Dr. Heba Abdel Azim Hassan Ismail was awarded the scientific title of a professor in the Department of Sports Training and Movement Sciences at the faculty.
