Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, Acting President of Assiut University, emphasized the keenness of the university administration to create an appropriate scientific environment for its students and researchers through implementing its strategy. The strategy aimed at developing its various educational sectors, updating its research services provided, harnessing means of support for the library sector in particular, upgrading of the infrastructure and providing it with the latest modern technological means.
This came during the opening of the library of Faculty of Commerce after the completion of the replacement and renovation works, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Abdel Moula, Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Dr. Mohamed Helmy El-Hafnawy, Engineering Advisor of the University and Vice Deans of the College for its various sectors; faculty members; the college secretary and Professor Mohamed Ali Hammam, director of the library.
Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez explained that the cost of the replacement and renovation works amounted to one million and 700 thousand pounds. The works included renovation for the library’s infrastructure and development of furniture and lighting, which caused a boom in the library’s services provided to students and postgraduate researchers. These works were carried out under the supervision of the implementation of the engineers and supervisors of the University’s Construction Department. Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez also pointed to the university president’s support and care for the development and upgrading works within all sectors of the university, which contributed to raising the status of the university during the past years. He also praised the expansion of the special programs in faculty of Commerce, which is an important matter in developing the educational service and meeting the actual needs of the labor market. Moreover, the special programs are one of the important tributaries in increasing the faculty’s own resources.
The President of Assiut University Opens the Library of Faculty of Commerce after Completing the Replacement and Renovation Works at a Financial cost of One Million and 700 thousand Pounds
