Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, the President of the University, Assiut University adopts a set of distinguished academic programs that keep pace with global developments in computer science and its applications during the academic year 2024/2025, with the aim of preparing specialized graduates qualified to compete in the labor market, in line with the country's plan for sustainable development and digital transformation.
The College of Computers and Information offers the "Artificial Intelligence" program during the academic year 2024/2025, aiming to produce graduates specialized in various fields of artificial intelligence, under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, the Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Taysir Hassan Abdul Hamid, the Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, Prof. Khaled Fathi, the Vice Dean of the faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mamdouh Farouk, the program coordinator.
The program admits students accepted by the faculty through the General Secondary Education Coordination Office, from those who have attained the minimum required for admission to the College from the scientific branch and its two branches: Sciences and Mathematics.
The program aims to create a distinctive and attractive educational environment in the field of artificial intelligence, provide scientific and technical consultations in the field, and offer professional training in the field of artificial intelligence.
The duration of the program is (144) accredited hours, over a period of (4) academic years.
The program includes (8) study specializations for students, namely: Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Intelligent Systems, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Robots, Human-Computer Interaction, and Artificial Intelligence Practice.
The program also qualifies graduates to work as robotics specialists, smart software developers, smart software and systems analysts, researchers in the field of artificial intelligence, robots and their applications, and other positions in the labor market, which has become more reliant on artificial intelligence in various fields.
