The foundation "loyalty to Egypt" presents Assiut University with a number of advanced medical devices for the University pediatric hospital and the main hospital 

Dr.Al-manshawi: the Foundation presents a device (K) for the treatment of tumors to the main University Hospital and(٢) an ultrasound device on the heart and (٣) refrigerators for blood preservation to the University Children's hospital

The president of Assiut University commends the cooperation with the foundation "loyalty to Egypt" to improve the quality of medical services provided

   Assiut University witnessed, today, Thursday 26 from December; the receipt of a number of medical devices, equipped with the latest advanced capabilities in diagnosis and treatment, provided by Wafa Foundation for Egypt; for the benefit of the University Children's hospital, and the main University Hospital, at a value exceeding (6) million pounds.

  This came after the reception of Prof. El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, to the delegation of Wafa Foundation for Egypt, which included Mr. Ashraf Badr, managing director of Wafa Foundation for Egypt, Mr. Ayman Mostafa, director of marketing and media sector, and Mr. Mohamed Galal, director of the financial sector, in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Farag, director of the Office of Misr Al-Khair Foundation in Assiut and the New Valley.

  The delivery of the devices was attended by Dr. Alaa Attiyah, dean of the Faculty of Medicine, chairman of the board of University Hospitals, Dr. Yasser Farouk, director of the University Children's Hospital, Dr. Mohammed Jamil, deputy director of the hospital for quality Affairs, Dr. Jamal Askar, head of the pediatrics department, Dr. Mohammed Amir, professor of Pediatrics, engineer Abeer Bakhit, director of the engineering affairs department at the University, with the participation of a number of hospital doctors and doctors of the radiology department at the main hospital.

 This comes within the framework of the joint initiative between Kuwait Finance House, in cooperation with Wafa Foundation for Egypt, and Misr Al-Khair Foundation; for the benefit of Assiut University Hospitals, this cooperation is the first stage of the initiative's activities, and the other stages will follow during the coming period.

  Prof. El-Minshawy explained: the medical devices provided by Wafa Foundation for Egypt, included (2) an ultrasound device on the heart, (3) refrigerators for blood preservation; for the University Children's hospital, and (1) a (Ki) device for the treatment of tumors; for the main University Hospital, pointing out that these medical devices are the first of their kind in Upper Egypt, which rely on artificial intelligence techniques, and the latest capabilities based on advanced technology in diagnosis and treatment.

The president of Assiut University pointed out that this work comes within the framework of the protocol of joint cooperation between the University and Wafa Foundation for Egypt, represented by Mr. Hassan Abdullah, governor of the central bank, and chairman of the board of Trustees of Wafa Foundation for Egypt, which was concluded during the year 2020, and extended until the end of the year 2025, and includes strengthening aspects of cooperation in the medical field, through the elimination of waiting lists, the provision of medical devices, and the modernization of infrastructure; for Assiut University Hospitals.

The president of the University praised the fruitful and humanitarian activity of Wafa Foundation for Egypt and its contributions to improving the level of health services in University Hospitals, which is in line with the continuous and accelerated pace of improvement witnessed by Assiut University Hospitals to serve millions of patients annually in various medical specialties, which contributes to maximizing its important role in providing the best possible health care and performing its humanitarian mission to the fullest.

Prof. El-Minshawy also stressed that the university administration is keen to join efforts and open doors of cooperation with various interested parties and institutions to develop the medical system, improve the quality of health services provided to Egyptian citizens, and improve the working environment in hospitals and medical facilities, in order to achieve the highest degrees of excellence in health care, keeping pace with international standards.

For his side, Mr. Ayman Mostafa, director of the marketing and media sector, said that the activities of the Wafa Foundation's initiative for Egypt came after studying and noting the need of some medical departments within University Hospitals for a number of new medical devices, and from this point of view, the initiative came within Assiut University Hospitals to provide the latest refrigerators to preserve blood; with high efficiency, and a device (Ki) contributes to reducing the time for chemical doses for oncology patients, and oncological operations, in addition to two cardiac ultrasound devices, which were provided for the first time in Upper Egypt, where these devices work with 5G), artificial intelligence; to contribute to the speed and accuracy of diagnosis, and treatment.
