Under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the Department of military education at the university announced the schedule of national education courses for female students for the academic year 2024/2025, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, and Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Rabie Kamel, head of the military education department at Assiut University.
The schedule includes 12 training courses to be held during the period from April to December 2025, within the framework of the protocol of cooperation between the Ministry of higher education and the command of the people's Defense Forces and the military, with the aim of enhancing national awareness and developing the spirit of belonging among students, where the first course starts from April 5 to 17, 2025, followed by the second course from April 19 to May 1, then the third from May 3 to 15, and the fourth from May 17 to 29. The fifth session is also held from June 14 to 26, and the sixth from June 28 to July 10. The seventh session is held from August 9 to 21, followed by the eighth from September 6 to 18, and the ninth from October 4 to 16. The tenth session will be held from November 1 to 13, the eleventh from November 29 to December 11, and the sessions will conclude with the twelfth session from December 13 to 25, 2025.
These courses are aimed at students of the first and preparatory division for the academic year 2024-2025, provided that the student is a holder of Egyptian citizenship. Obtaining the training course is also a prerequisite for graduation, as female students will be enrolled in the final year only after passing it. Registration is carried out through Student Affairs and accredited patriotic education coordinators at the university, without the need to deal directly with the military education office.
A photocopy of the ID card and one personal photo are required upon registration. Special rules have also been set for the exception and postponement of some cases, such as female students with disabilities or those who have an "integrated services card", where cases are presented to the director of the military education department to consider exempting them from the course.
The courses include theoretical lectures held inside dedicated halls, as well as cultural and recreational activities and field visits to national projects and historical sites, under the supervision of the armed forces, in order to enhance national awareness and develop the spirit of belonging among students.
The courses are offered completely free of charge without any fees, and all participants are obliged to wear a uniform uniform, which consists of a T-shirt and a white veil.
